Pride Season in full swing from coast to coast and our practices are getting involved!

Check out how some of our practices celebrated!
Between June and September across Canada, Pride Season celebrations, awareness events and education opportunities are taking place and it’s been inspiring seeing how many of our practices are getting involved in their communities.
Annually, Pride Season is a wonderful opportunity to spotlight the resilience, celebrate the talent, and recognize the contributions of 2SLGBTQIA communities. Our commitment to inclusivity, ensuring our practices are safe spaces for everyone is something we’re proud of every day of the year.
Here are a few events that took place to kick off Pride Season across our network. Check out the fantastic images in the carousel below:
Wellesley Animal Hospital in Toronto, one of our Pride Fund recipients, invited Pride parade goers to stop by for pet treats and water, just steps from the heart of the Church-Wellesley Village, raising funds for the Farley Foundation.
Across the country, practices are showing their support by wearing scrubs representing all the colours of the Intersex-Inclusive Pride flag, including colleagues from SAVE, Sears Animal Hospital, 4 Paws Veterinary Hospital, and Fairmont Animal Hospital.
Centre vétérinaire Daubigny in Québec City created a colourful artwork piece inspired by the Progress Pride flag. Each team member applied a different colour of the flag behind the Daubigny logo, with a bright, striking and bold result. Their painting will now hang in the staff room as a statement of allyship and inclusivity.
In Kingston, Ontario, colleagues from practices across the city donned colourful t-shirts, proudly displayed their “Everyone is welcome here” banner and joined the Kingston Pride Parade.
With their Pride Fund grant, Hillside Veterinary Hospital in British Columbia organized a neighbourhood Paws for Pride event, with fundraising proceeds of approximately $500 donated to the Victoria Pride Society.
Lauzon Veterinary Hospital in Windsor, Ontario hosted a Pride Day event where team members wore scrubs featuring colours of the Pride flag, a ‘Dress your pet for Pride Day’ photo contest was held, and an information centre was setup featuring resources from organizations supporting the 2SLGBTQIA community.
At Toronto Animal Health Partners, allyship pins were distributed to show support for the 2SLGBTQIA community and Pride-themed treats were enjoyed by all.
