What DVMs working there are saying

“Dr. Malaguti is a fantastic mentor with a passion for teaching. She is always happy to consult on cases and treatment plans, answering questions and giving advice. She is dedicated to upholding a high standard of care for all of her patients, and teaches others to uphold the same standards. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a mentor to any new graduate.”

Bailey Teitge, DVM

What DVM students are saying

“As part of my fourth year program, I scheduled a week-long rotation at McKnight Animal Hospital with Dr. Malaguti to learn more about small animal and exotic emergency medicine. I participated in morning rounds, discussed incoming cases and practiced my clinical skills under the supervision of Dr. Malaguti. She challenged me with creating diagnostic and treatment plans for incoming patients and would work through them with me to provide feedback on how they worked and areas where they could improve. Dr. Malaguti strives for gold-standard medicine and helped me create plans that provided the best patient care. I was able to direct my learning to the cases I found most interesting and helpful and we would discuss emergency cases with excellent clinical reference. If specific cases were not available in the hospital, Dr. Malaguti provided models and literature to help me reach my learning objectives. I was only with Dr. Malaguti for a week but at the end of that time I felt more confident in handling emergency cases and in my clinical skills.”

Abigail Picyk
Student DVM from Ontario Veterinary College

“I learned more about interpreting thoracic radiographs in 10 minutes over a single case study than I have in 2.5 years of vet school. Under R. Malaguti’s leadership, this hospital has been a great place for a vet student like me with a head full of random lists and terms to actually learn what they mean and to apply the knowledge in a true clinical setting.”
