In Q4, practices across our network joined forces to help eight organizations driving positive change in their communities.

Our teams continue to show that compassion extends far beyond the practice walls. Through the Community Grants program, practices in our network supported a variety of local organizations in the last quarter of FY24 – strengthening communities and embodying our value “We Dare.” We proudly recognize our practices’ ongoing generosity and commitment to building healthier, more compassionate communities.

To wrap up the year, practices donated to a diverse group of recipients, including a program supporting the 2SLGBTQIA community, a foundation improving healthcare in the Red Deer Region, animal shelters, and other local organizations – each making a meaningful impact in their community.

The team at Bedford South Veterinary Hospital chose to donate their $1,500 Community Grant to the YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth, specifically to their 2SLGBTQIA+ Newcomer Program.

“It was very important for us to participate in this initiative as we continue rebuilding our hospital. Being involved in the community is something we value deeply. Supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community is also something we take to heart, as we have team members who are part of it. We strive to create a safe, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and respected – we proudly keep our Pride flag up year-round as a reminder of that commitment. This grant means a great deal to us, not only as an opportunity to give back but also to make a meaningful difference. We’re so excited to move this forward.” – Candice Dystant, Practice Manager at Bedford South Veterinary Hospital

The team at Clinique vétérinaire de l’Estuaire – Rimouski showed compassion and a strong commitment to the community by supporting the Société protectrice des animaux du Littoral (SPAL), an ethical shelter for animals in the Rimouski region with a $1,500 Community Grant. We asked the team at the shelter, which takes in approximately 250 animals each year, what is means to receive support from Clinique vétérinaire vétérinaire de l’Estuaire – Rimouski.

“The wellbeing and health of our residents rely, among other things, on the work of the shelter’s employees and volunteers. However, without the support and expertise of the veterinary team, none of this would be possible.” – The team at Société protectrice des animaux du Littoral (SPAL)

Through the dedication of our practices and the generosity of their teams, we are proud as a network to continue making a positive difference in our communities.
