About the Role

The Hospital Manager is a full-time position with 50% of the time allocated to administrative duties, the other 50% spent working alongside your staff.

Medical Director DVM Opportunity
North Town 24-hour Veterinary Hospital in Brampton is currently seeking a full-time Medical Director. As the Medical Director, you will have the opportunity to utilize both your leadership skills and your emergency medicine in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities
The Medical Director, in partnership with the Practice Manager, is responsible for providing leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians and supporting an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing surgical and medical cases for all doctors, insuring positive outcomes, accurate estimates, and client communication and education.
  • Maintaining and improving the quality of medical and surgical procedures.
  • Answering client questions and concerns regarding medical and surgical procedures.
  • Oversight and direction of medical standards and quality of care
  • Establishment of medical protocols.

Leading Staff and Practice
  • Participating in the recruiting and interviewing process for DVMs, and when appropriate general staff members.
  • Developing and monitoring hospital-specific client compliance protocols and procedures.
  • Partnering with the Practice Manager to make hiring and termination recommendations.
  • Training all medical staff, including the mentoring of new graduates.
  • Creating a positive work environment and works with the Practice Manager to resolve staff problems, concerns, and conflicts.

Practice Growth
  • Partnering with the Practice Manager to drive patient visits and community involvement.
  • Championing change and driving innovative programs in the hospital.
  • Looking for ways to innovate operational practices that improve the growth of the practice.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
